What the mix of “paid subscriptions” is unknown. I can see iCloud+ having approaching 200 million. Music, TV, AppleOne Arcade, News, Fitness approaching 150 million. Hard to know AppleCare+ subscription number but I’d guess 50m. I think there are about 10m AppleCard users. But having the AppleCard gives you the buy now then make 24 interest free payments. I currently have 2 of these. Do they include those 2 as paid subscriptions?
all this gets to 400 to 500 million. I assume hundreds of millions of subscriptions for Apps in the App Store make up the remainder. Regardless, reaching a 1 billion paid subscriptions mark is shockingly impressive and damn rarified air. A billion active users? Yes. A billion paying subscriptions? I’m guessing only Microsoft sits this high up.
