Rarely do i need to do it but some times in work i might have to ring a customer and use my own phone if the land line is occupied so naturally i rather not have them see my number! I know i can toggle it off within settings but was hoping there was a quicker way of doing so ? Usually i could create a quick toggle and add to home screen but that does not seem to be the case on IOS! Is there an app that would toggle it on/off or even just bring you direct to "show my caller id" within settings?

The only way I know is via Settings. You can try typing Caller ID into Spotlight Search, it should quicken things up and ease the overall process.

There are several apps available for your needs. Here's one as an example It's Me. Will do exactly what you want. Thanks.

If you only need to do this now and then, just do the *67 trick before you dial the number.

This isn’t exactly what you’re asking about but my company uses grasshopper for our work numbers. They have an app so if I need to dial a customer on my cell I do so within the app and the customer sees it as my office line calling them. Customers aren’t always so keen to answer blocked numbers and I have some that block the call entirely if the number is blocked.

It's $1.99 and hasn't been updated since 2011. Most likely 32 bit, which won't work on iOS 11.
