I'm having problems with music sounds in my iPhone 4: either on the docking station or with headphones, only one channel will sound and the other remains completely mute. I have already tried with several headphones and docks. Always the same: only one channel is working!!!
I went to an authorized dealer and they don't have a clue.:(
Should I try a master reset?
Thank you very much for your help.

Try this:

Setting---General---Accessibility

Scroll down and you will see some settings about sound, there is a balance slide that might be to one side or the other.

Hold power button and home button together for 10 seconds if this doesnt work it could be your actual dock on the phone where the charger plugs into might need a clean with a thin small firm paintbrush
