Anyone recently trade-in Apple devices at Staples?

I have the ipad Mini 1 and love it. Does what I need and want it to. I would love a mini 3, but the ONLY reason for me to want it is the touch-ID.

But now Staples has stuff going on that the equation could work.

Save $100 on a mini 3 plus they have trade in programs. Site says you could get up to $200 on trade.

Anyone know if you could approach that on a 16gb Mini 1? I'm assuming not, but if you could, the $200(ish) on trade + $100 saving gets me close enough that I would consider the change.

Thoughts, experiences with trade, etc.....

yeah, seeing where the price is on new ones.....I can't imagine that I am going to get the differential under $100....oh well......

Yeah. At that price point, plus the Staples savings of $100, That still leaves me about $100 shy on price differential. Too much in my book just for adding touch-ID....

ALL of these trade in services and buy back services are a rip off...just sell your device on the private market and don't throw money away.
