Any idea if Target Display Mode will work with the new MacBook Pros?

I'd like to be able to use my current iMac (Late 2013) as a display for my coming MacBook Pro purchase, does anyone know if this is possible? If so, what accessories will be needed?

Thanks for the help!

So far, I haven't found any detail on this. I may just sell the iMac and get a USB-c monitor.

Thunderbolt 3 is backwards compatible and I assume therefore this should work. No?

I feel like USB-c is throwing a lot of our assumptions out the window, so hoping for more confirmation that it is possible, wondering if anyone has tried. :)
