Alarm Clock Bug

Hey folks. I'm new to the iPhone and to this blog, but I am happy to report that I love the iPhone, especially compared to all the issues I was having with the Palm Pre.

That said, this morning something happened for the 2nd time: after I hit snooze several times in the native alarm clock app, the volume on my phone stops working completely and most other apps become very slow and non-responsive. The only fix for this has been to shut down the iPhone and start up again, but I'd prefer for this not to be happening at all.

Advice? Thanks!

I'd like to give you an answer, but I use the native alarm clock every morning and hit snooze at least three times each morning. I have never experienced the problem you're describing.

@en0c: Will I lose everything if I restore my phone? Contacts, music, etc.?

@earless puppy: I had 6 Pre's, 1 had screen distortion issue found on earlier units, second had wobbly hardware, touch screen completely stopped working, and I forget the other issues, but the phone just didn't work out for me. I wanted it to, but it didn't. I also had a terrible case of iPhone envy, so I did what I had to do. Minus the alarm clock issue, and I am not exaggerating here, the iPhone is perfection!

I've had on rare occasions problems with the snooze function in that the alarm would shut off instead of going into snooze mode. That and the volume is no where as loud as my BlackBerry Bold is. But I've never had any lag problems like the OP described. I don't guess you have jailbroken the phone yet? This could cause lag I suppose.
