Agreed, DI really can be so much better. While driving I have maps and music open. I send a text using Siri. If directions are on left DI and Music on right DI, if I press right DI to switch to Music then why not put the Messaging app on right DI!! This single press multitask switching makes it driving friendly (mounted to dash, not in your hand).
When DI has nothing in it, why not give the option for a short press taking you to the last app being used. A long press brings up last 4 apps used.
Several others I’ve come across that it would make it more expansive. DI is so much easier to navigate between apps than the old full finger swipes except DI is currently too limited.
