Hi :)

I'm about to get a new phone soon (on a Note4 at the moment) and thought it might be interesting to compare pictures from different phones even tho the camera isn't very high on my priority list.
I was quite astonished that the iphone camera (checked the 7 and the SE on flickr) seemed to have a pretty harsh noise reduction. While there were some photos that looked great in original size, most looked like they had some cheap PS filter applied to them a result of a radical noise reduction from the iphone (even in bright light).
Now since a few pics looked indeed very good I was wondering if the noise reduction is adjustable or if I might have missed something else.

Thanks for your answers.

Welcome to iMore.

The native camera app is not adjustable. What you can do is look into third party camera apps that will shoot in RAW. This will allow you to have a file that you can adjust yourself. Thanks for clarification. I didn't know the iPhone supports RAW. That's really good news :)
