6 two year price is $265
6+ two year price is $375

$110 (not $100) more expensive for the plus. also, $35 more than the 5S last year which was again $30 more than the previous....while US is always $200 every year.

Why in Canada in is it continually increasing? the dollar is around 91? US, these prices remind me of when it was 60? US years ago.

even the 5S is still $150 on contract & the 5C $30 while free in US. Apple reduced the price for them on their website, but carriers haven't changed. Got to love corporate greed!

that was last year. to offset the switch to two years, it should have raised prices by $8 a month. They increased them by $30. Basically what they did was take the 3 year contract price ($200 + $50 monthly) and condensed it to 2 years....so they make the same amount of money in 2 years instead of 3, but don't have to give the 3rd year of service but still get the money for it. Carriers also make you take a minimum $80(which is terrible, only 500mb data) plan with the iPhone, while android you don't have to even though its the same prices. Seems they just know people want the iPhone, so they jack the price.

I don't think there is any tariff or fees, just the dollar went down a bit....not $65 worth.

We used to be very close to the US dollar in value... the dollar went down 10%, and apple has to try to forecast per year, thats what they came up with.

ontario is the same, liberals are take payouts all the time from companies who then put up the price of everything. Because of a ONE long winter, enbridge was allowed to raise their prices permanently thanks to Liberal corruption. Ontario Hydro, former CEO makes 400000 a year on a pension. They asked everyone to conserve energy, which gave them less revenue...so they just doubled the prices. All thanks to Ontario Liberals.

Wireless is a federal jurisdiction in Canada, not provincial. The reason why prices on phones has gone up is because the new wireless code forced carriers to go from 3 year to 2 year plans. Less time to spread out the cost of the device subsidy, so you pay more up front.

The two-year contract prices are so ridiculous up here that people really should just hang on to their older plans (esp the $60/6GB all in plans) and buy their phones outright.

Charging $80/month for subsidized device contracts and not even offering 1 GB of data is ridiculous.
