6s earpiece sound quality

How are you finding your sound quality? My 6s certainly doesn't have the clarity of the 6. Anyone else notice this?

It is pristine clear, unless I (or the person at the end of the line) have bad signal.

It's pretty good. I would say my 6s Plus is on par with my 6 Plus. No better or worse than my last few iPhones.

My 6s plus sounds great, I have notice the sound quality between the people I talk to change so maybe it could be the other persons phone that it's to good.

When I talk to my wife on her iPhone 6s we are basically standing next to each other. The sound is just crystal clear. We both have the S, but it was the same when I had the plus and she had the 6. Best call clarity of any phone we have ever had.

Are you using HD voice? I have voice over LTE enabled on mine and my wife's phones and the call clarity is amazing when we talk to each other.

I don't know. I didn't activate that setting, so if it comes from Apple with hd calling turned on then yes. Either way it is crystal clear.

It is not enabled by default. To turn on HD voice go to Settings > Cellular > Enable LTE, and change it to "voice and data". It's available on Verizon (not sure about other carriers) and allows data while using voice in addition to increased call clarity when both callers have the the feature enabled.
