I have plus envy, but mainly for the battery life. IMO, Apple needs to end the obsession with being thin. There wasn't anything wrong with the thickness of the 5s. I think the majority of users would opt for thicker/bigger battery Vs. paper thin/tiny battery. They gotta know the majority of people take their thin iPhone and throw a case on it anyway....
The above applies to the rest of the mobile phone industry as well. Apple takes it to the extreme though.
I agree with this whole heartedly. I'm really hoping they are done with the self-perpetuated thin-ness war. I don't know how much thinner they can go at this point. I'd give anything to have a thicker phone with better battery life. Who wouldn't?
As someone who also started with a Plus and now owns a 6, I sometimes have Plus envy. It's easy to forget what I didn't like and easy to remember what I did like. I liked portrait typing better, I liked the battery life better. Some games that were tolerable on the Plus in regards to size are not playable on the 6. It causes eye strain if the game elements are too tiny. I'm not a big gamer so I need to remember to put this one into perspective though. I also miss the screen when I'm watching YouTube.
I've decided to man up and commit to my 6 for this year though. There's a ton of things I prefer about the 6 as well. In September maybe I'll be ready to take on the burdens of a larger device, maybe not. If nothing much changes in the 6S Plus, I'm hoping the 7 Plus slims the bezels and adds more software optimization and features to better utilize the larger screen.
