When I have the fingerprint scanner active it automatically enables the 4 digit code as well giving me the option to use either one. Is there a way to only have the fingerprint scanner active? Thanks.
After more than 15 years covering everything Apple, it’s with a heavy heart we announce that we will no longer be publishing new content on iMore and the iMore forums will be closing as of November 1st, 2024.
They did it that way on purpose for the event that something may be preventing the phone from reading any of your fingers... you'd be rather irate if you couldn't get into your phone due to a sensor issue - or messy fingers that the reader cant read wouldn't you? When I have the fingerprint scanner active it automatically enables the 4 digit code as well giving me the option to use either one. Is there a way to only have the fingerprint scanner active? Thanks.
I have another question hopefully you can help me with...is the quality of the slo-mo and video the same? Im asking because I think if its the same I would just always use slo-mo to have the feature available to me.
You're very welcome....Thank you for this reference. A co-worker of mine was just upgraded to the iP5S from the BB Torch (Gen 1). You can imagine her excitement. Well...I have a reputation as sort of a gadget geek and when she and IT could not figure out the fingerprint set up "issues" she was having she asked me. I have an iP5 so no fingerprint option there. I figured I could come to iMore and find the solution to it...and voila...problem solved. Thanks again JustMe'D.
