While I absolutely adore my 5c (Both of them actually), iOS 8 does not seem to be running all that smoothly on it. I kept one on 7.1.2 and the differences are obvious.

I have a new 5c (8GB) variant. What is the difference that you see in the 2 devices with iOS 8 & the other on 7.1.2? On my device the iOS 8.1 option for an update is reflecting as "ready for installation" taking up 2.8GB space on the device. The new iOS 8.1 only appears to me (a layman) as only an incremental improvement. Any suggestions??
btw i am new to iOS platform & thus a bit clueless.

My 5c actually still works great. I'm just using a 5s because I don't want to risk losing or getting my 5c broken. I feel like Apple might not release another c variant and I'm very sentimental over mine. I had two but one was traded in, so this one will be kept as a piece of my history. My first iPhone...
