500 photos missing after uploading to iCloud Photo Library

[iMore Question]

I was uploading all my photos from my mac to iCloud Photo Library, but 500+ photos just went missing after the upload finished.

They were the last 500 of the album, they were there when it's still updating, I saw them.

But when it finished uploading and updating, they were gone. I couldn't find them in icloud.com neither.

Where did the photos go, what should I do?
Please help, Thank you.

Am I understanding it right that those photos also disappeared from your Mac?

Do you have those photos backed up somewhere else?
