5 dock icon app ?

Is there a specific app where you can modify your 5 docked icons at that bottom too look like your CD albums in iTunes? The middle one is up front and the 2 on the left and right are sorta behind the first one diagonoly. I can't explain it. Hopefully somebody know what I'm talking about

I've seen this app, but it only goes with certain springboards. I don't want to download that certain springboard. Wondering if you can do this without a specific springboard.
