5.1 better on battery life?

Seems since the 5.1 update I have been seeing some of the best battery life since I have had my iPhone 4. Even when I used 4.0 iOS.

Want to add that usage was with screen at 100% push email on two accounts. I will say though I had 40 emails in that time about the same text I also used the hotspot for about 1/2 hour with my iPad. And a couple phone calls total about 1/2 hour between the two calls.

i'd say with the usage/standby you just posted on any OS is indeed very good

on average i was only getting about 5.5-6 hrs usage when i had my 4

i use my iphone for gaming basically
when it comes to high graphics in ios4 battery is a friend of yours for only 4 hrs
so it would be better if it last long in ios version 5

5.1 is better than 5.0 or it has been for me.

im getting great battery life here well not great but amazing. Day starts at about 7am an ends at around 6:30pm i still have a decent 40 %

It's odd. My battery life is amazingly worse with 5.1. First time I've had such dramatic change.

I've actually never seen big differences between updates to be honst. It's almost the same, no matter what os version Im running...

Seriously. Battery life is disappointing! I think we must stop expecting much of battery life from smartphones.

I want to get through a day with a smart phone. I don't expect to get battery life that I use to get on a dumb phone.

exactly! i always charge at night anyways. if i can get through a day of whatever i need to or feel like then i am happy

of course more battery life/performance is always welcome but worse case scenario if it somehow never did any better for a while then i would be fine too

on an average, my device does not see a charger again until i turn in for the night, which can be pretty late

No matter what version my iPhone4 is, I think it is unnecessary to reduce the time to use it or something, maybe we iPhone users all need an extra power source.
I have bought one, never mind what version is.
