I use Gboard as my main keyboard. I know when entering any kind of passwords it switches to the stock apple keyboard for privacy but why is it that when I open random apps and go to type something it goes to the stock app? Is their something I'm missing on keeping the 3rd party keyboard on my default ? Is anybody doing anything different ?

For security, Apple has it where if you're typing anything sensitive like a password or log in, it reverts to the stock app. I use SwiftKey as my default keyboard. I have the stock keyboard deleted. It still comes up for the password and such, but it's much better with the stock keyboard deleted. I also have the stock emoji keyboard deleted. SwiftKey has its own.
