Hello all, I was wondering..... I have swift key installed and sometimes when opening say,... the messages app.... my keyboard won't load at all. I have to close the app totally (double click home button, swipe up) and then reopen the app. It's happened in a few other apps too. Anyone else run into this problem?

It's good about 95% of the time. I'm just glad I can swipe when I text. This is my first iPhone and one of the reasons I was glad to switch was that I didn't have to type the old fashioned way and on a tiny keyboard.

Not ready. Maybe iOS 9 they will get serious about 3rd party keyboards and allow them to truly replace the stock keyboard

Welcome to iMore and ConGrats on your iPhone 6+. Third party keyboards are new for iOS and hopefully they will get better with updates.

I wish they would just integrate swype functionality into the stock keyboard. Then I wouldn't want a 3rd party app.
They also need to get rid of the awful animation on the predictive text bar. It just slows the predictions down. I type faster than they appear, making the feature useless.

I hate the stock keyboard. The predictive words are too low contrast and hard to see. And I keep getting email addresses pop up when I don't want them. I like SwiftKey. Yeah, the 3rd party keyboards do have issues. But I'd rather put up with those issues than use the stock keyboard. so is a very smart keyboard with a great memory. I don't even need shortcuts now. And it has a feature where you can delete a word if non word from the predictive dictionary. And it has a dark theme. Yeah, I gave to delete the messages app once or twice a day from the App Switcher because of freeze ups or other issues. But I can deal with that better than the stock keyboard.

So far...iOS 9 on beta 5 not faring any better for Fleksy compatibility; SwiftKey quite a bit more stable but still far from perfect. iOS just not supportive of 3rd party keyboards like Android.

Beta 3 for non-developers totally borked Swype. All I get is a grey block where the keyboard should be. Using SwiftKey temporarily but really don't like it....

Totally agree that the Apple keyboard should get swiping functionality and still use voice option. I'm now using Swype but it has some odd ways of working and i don't like the location of the yellow 'swype' key.
