3gs screen issues

I changed the touch screen on my 3gs n there is only a part of the screen not working,when the keypad pops up on screen the row with "a" on it won't work but the rest of the screen does, did I do something wrong when I fitted the screen,

I don't think we could possibly know if you did something wrong on not, but it would probably behove you to verify your work.

I done everything that I was suspossed to do,I don't know if I got faulty screen, when I go to delete a photo n when i press the delete button nothing happens but the cancel button works

I would think with a aftermarket part for a phone that old it can be hit or miss when it comes to repairing it.
The part could be faulty or something else could be.
