3D Touch to iPad Pro 12.9 possible?

Hi would it be possible for a software update to bring 3D Touch to iPad Pro 12.9 or is it a hardware issue so,not,possible? Thanks

Actually Apple is planning to add 3D Touch to iPad Pro via Apple Pencil. They have began adding features into iOS 10 that use 3D Touch
