3.5mm line out question

Came across this. Does not state that it would work with and iPhone but it works with virtually every other iPod available including the iPod Touch. Would this work for the phone? I need to get a cable for my work car and this seemed to be a good price. Another question I have is, will and dock to 3.5 connector produce better sound than a 3.5 to 3.5 connector? Thanks for any help!

Yea...this should work. Just plug th econector into your phone and the other end into your AUX port in the car and set the radio to AUX. You will have to control the music from the phone as you will not have control over it through the car radio.

Not sure if this will create better sound than a 3.5 to 3.5 but the music on your phone is all digital anyway so not sure if you wold be able to notice a difference unless you get a better conection with one vs the other.
