I ordered my AT&T iPhone 5S on launch day as soon as my AT&T store opened. It's been 3 weeks and it still hasn't even shipped. Many people on this forum reported receiving their 5S a few days after ordering, but I guess I'm just one of the unlucky ones.

Did you order the gold version? If so that is probably the reason. I know Verizon is out of them and people that ordered on day one once the device was out of stock (didn't take long at all) they aren't supposed to receive theirs until Nov 1

At this point, anyone that ordered the gold, shouldn't be shocked. Gold has been low on stock for all carriers. It's not a specific carrier issue.

Yeah, but I just noticed a lot of people on this Forum received their gold within a few days of release.

Ported 2 sprint numbers to AT&T September 30. Placed order in store. Gold 32gb for my wife and silver 16gb for me. She got her gold October 5 and I got mine October 10. Good luck.

Hang in there! It's worth it!

Is it though? I'm still debating if I should a) waste an upgrade, or b) pay full price.... just to get an iphone 5S... I have a black/slate 5 32GB Verizon version (but using on AT&T - my area doesn't yet have at&t LTE anyways...).... Debating if I gain more by selling my 5 now, rather than a year from now when the iphone 6 hits...

After living mine for over 2 weeks now, I can honestly say that while initially skeptical about the "value" of this upgrade, now...I think it's totally worth it. We all know the feature list that was added...no reason to rehash that again and again. Some of the things I've found that are LESS discussed are better cellular connections (for both phone calls AND data, which is really awesome, because I'm getting faster LTE connections in places that my iPhone 5 was only getting minimal to no connections), burst mode for the camera is a truly awesome feature, and I have been able to get some really cool shots (including lighting!...when I get home I'm going to post them up in the pic section)...and one last one for right now, the boot up speeds are significantly faster...when my phone died (let it cycle down) yesterday, I plugged it in and as soon as it had the juice to get going, I remember being SHOCKED at how quickly it loaded up and got me going. It was awesome...

Those are just a few of the things that nobody is really touching on that puts the 5S in the upper tier and moves the iPhone 5 out of that spot.

No different than what I went through 22 months ago for my 4S because i wanted to go to the Apple store closest to me to buy the phone so I played the waiting game then and am willing to play it now. I know it is a matter of time but it is one of those things that I want a a Space gray 32 GB from VZW so when it is available and I get lucky I will get it.

on the apple site today it just went down to 2-3 week shipping

and thats not guaranteed. you'll get notification when it ships and if you aren't happy with it, you could have just waited till they were in stores

you can always cancel your order too if it hasn't shipped. apple sales support # is 1-800-676-2775
