I am going overseas to Europe (Germany, Poland, and France) in early to mid January. I am thinking of using the AT&T International Day Pass $10 a day plan. All I need to do is add it to my plan a few days before I leave and it will automatically go into effect when I land.
My understanding is that I can use my unlimited choice plan (data, talk, and text) as I would in the US. I can call back to the US and International Day Pass countries at no additional charge. I’ll just have to turn on data roaming when I land.
Since AT&T is a GSM carrier, whenever I go overseas and I don’t have airplane mode turned on I can still get calls and texts since I automatically pick up a carrier, even with cellular data and roaming turned off in the settings.
Does anybody have any experience/advice about the Day Pass plan?
