Hi there. Been doing some research but thought I'd ask here as well. Have a chance to be given an iPhone 6 that was used and bought from t mobile.

The person just decided to switch to Verizon and Android. What is the best way to get that phone working on ATT?

    Thank for the info!

You MIGHT be able to get T-Mobile to do it, depends on the status of the original account holder. The way there document is worded it DOESN'T sound like the original owner has to make the request, BUT if he's delinquent or no longer with T-Mobile you could have a problem. Worst case you'll need to purchase an unlock code....

IF you have to pay this is my guy. He's good and he's reasonably priced. Tell him pkcable from CrackBerry & iMore sent you.

I thought the T-Mobile variants were the unlocked versions.

I was on the T-Mobile Jump! plan before going to Verizon and when I tried a different sim with my iPhone, it worked.

What we ended up doing was the girl took the phone to t mobile and they unlocked it. Hooked up to iTunes and it told me the phone was unlocked.

    Now running ATT sim...

    Thanks guys!😃
