Have you checked your T-Mobile speeds lately?

TMo was always good to me but had too many dead zones in areas the people on my plan and I frequent. Had to switch back to Big Red.

Tmobile is doing a test drive. They’ll send u a 30GB hotspot thingy to test their new network out on. Once u either used up the data. It’s yours to keep or pass it on to someone else. While testing their new network, I gotta say I was very impressed.

I get awesome speeds with TMO plus new towers and sites being installed near me every two weeks. Low band 600 #41 being installed all around my area starting to see my phone pick up that band.

How do you know what band(s) your phone is picking up? Assuming it’s software-based?

Good question. I just tested mine again:

Maybe T-Mobile is working on their stuff in my area because I’ve never had speeds like this. I’m usually in the 50-ish range.

Not bad! I used to average around 250 mbps down on T-Mobile at my office, which is better than what Big Red currently gives me. Unfortunately TMo sucked everywhere else I went.

We left Verizon for T-Mobile 4 years ago because (1) T-Mobile had the same coverage in the areas we are in and (2) T-Mobile had a flat fee unlimited plan. Now we are discovering that some of the “out of the way” places like Aiken SC, Lake Lure NC and parts of Hendersonville NC have good signal while our Verizon friends don’t. And I’m paying $160/mo for 4 smartphones and 2 watches.

Really wish that was my experience. I’d much rather still be giving TMo my money. Switched back to Verizon a few weeks ago.
