It goes without saying that all these devices have the same aspect ratio and therefore there is no difference in what device the home screen or lock screen is from.

In my opinion it doesn’t make sense to have a separate thread per device.

And same goes for the wallpaper threads too. A wallpaper meant for the 8 Plus works also on a iPhone 5.

This would help keep the unread section clean and uncluttered and make it easier for new people to find a wallpaper that they like without having to scour the forums per device type.

What do my fellow iMoreians think about this?

If one existed for the new 8 Plus, I'd post there. We had one, but for some reason the thread was closed. I don't care about what other phones look like, I prefer to look and share with others who have the same phone. Why bother having separate forums if we can't have our own Home & Lockscreen thread.

Only if someone with an 8 Plus exactly copied the home and lockscreen of someone with a 6s Plus/6 Plus/7 Plus phone.

The purpose is for users to post screenshots of their phone for others to see. As models got older, those with the older models felt left behind, posting their screenshots and very few viewing them. There was the 5, 5c, 5s, 6, 6 Plus threads. So we made it all inclusive. Now the X has its own thread, and the rest on the other. Not sure how it will play out if 3 new X style models come in September. LOL
