I often go through the tipb blog, opening interesting articles in new tab till I've sifted through all the new ones. However, I notice that the browser gets really choppy on tipb, and have suspected some freezes on my slow computer because of it.

Today, in task manager for chrome, I found that the single remaining tipb article on my screen, which had been fully loaded, and comments-updating disabled, required 74k (whatever unit it is), just as much as the whole browser itself.

Anyone else notice this? Any reason for it? Looks like a static page to me
