    am i doing something wrong, it hasnt even requested to use the mic. do i not have a mic? no i do ive used it on other apps, idk what to do. ive never been able to use it from the start, a year ago. im using an ipad mini 2 or second gen i believe. thanks

    Yes, you have a mic, and Siri works fine for me on my iPad mini. Do you have a case on your iPad that might be blocking the mic? Have you verified you have Siri enabled (see below)?

    Settings > General > Siri

    Go to settings, general, siri, and make sure it is enabled.
