    jailbreaking

All you need to do is restore your phone to it's factory setting with iTunes and nobody at AT&T nor Apple will know it was jailbroken.

App for those with BBM withdrawl?

Because BBM doesn't require you to pay for an unlimited text plan. It's an instant message app, it uses your data plan, gives you instant feedback as to the status of the recipient and comes installed from the factory, so every BB user has it. If Jobs had invented it and put it on the iPhone...

Just J/B with GreenPois1on and no Cydia Icon or anything

Try a factory restore and leave out the previous backup. Just let the phone activate and then jailbreak it.

    Basic to Advanced Jailbreaking Questions

The current jailbreaks, both Limera1n and Greenpois0n, use a hardware exploit that Apple cannot patch with a firmware update. So you don't have to worry about not being able to jailbreak your phone after a firmware update. But you will have to re-jailbreak if you update. So, until new hardware...

    Battery drain with greenpoison JB?

Well, you have about 40% battery left after 4 and a half hours of use. There is nothing wrong with that. Most programs just save state when they are closed. Some are just recently closed programs that remain in the task switcher. You can get Remove Recents from Cydia and this will help clean up...

    Greenpois0n released!

My battery has been good. At least the same as it was pre-jailbreak.

Just J/B with GreenPois1on and no Cydia Icon or anything

Do a clean restore and jailbreak again. Then launch the Loader icon to install Cydia. It may be a blank or white icon. If so, just reboot the phone again. But I would always do a clean restore.

    Help... can't jailbreak

You mentioned being on a Mac. Do you have access to a PC on which you can try? The Mac client is newer and could be buggy. But I haven't tried it myself. You could also try a different sync cable, if you have or can get one. And are you on the latest version of iTunes?

    Upgrading from 3G to 4

In addition to the savings from a lower plan, you are also not bound into a contract. Also, AT&T may not have reliable service in the area where some people live.

    Upgrading from 3G to 4

I believe people do cut down T-Mobile SIM cards to fit. I have never tried it tho.

    AT&T and Good Techonlogy/DataPro Enterprise

Good will work fine with your regular data plan. ATT always says that, but in reality you don't. Verizon customers with Android phones have to upgrade to the Enterprise data plan the same way a Verizon BB user has to upgrade their plan to get on a BES. You get the Good app from the App Store...
