i would order through verizon and do the transfer upgrade, if you order through her line it would add a data plan if she doesnt have one already and would be more of a hassle to fix, but you could do that and just activate on your line -

depends, if you plan to shoot a lot of 1080p video and photos then yes but if you dont see yourself doing that or you use cloud storage then no -

no unlocked version up for pre-order, you could buy your respective carrier's version full price and afterwards ask for an unlock which they should do since it was purchased unsubsidized -

yes but i would try to order on a computer which has a wired internet connection but if you have to order on ipad then go to store.apple.com -
