Same hear. I have a 3Gs with 4.0 JB with JBme. I understand that I should backup first, but if the JB process fails and I do a restore...Will it restore to my current JB state?

However...The JB for iOs4 is done, but going through final bug testing (according to Comex's tweets). That being said it is supposed to be out within days (grain of salt)

No, but you need to have them saved if you want/need to downgrade to an earlier os at a later time. Example...you JB, then 4.2 (or whatever) comes out and you upgrade by accident or sheer curiosity. Then you lose your JB and want to revert back to an older version to recover your JB...well if...
