mine was saying 2.2.1 was current from 1pm to 1:10pm... I shutdown iTunes and started it again and first check got it downloading... first 160+MB downloaded within a minute and then it slowed... estimating about 1.5min for the next 30MB. I'm not saying you need to restart iTunes to get it...

Something I really haven't seen much conjecture on is the addition of the shuffle voice tech that announces song titles/playlists/etc and the ear buds with forward/reverse/pause controls for the ipod.... i'd be into integrating that into the iPhone's ipod app.
