After more than 15 years covering everything Apple, it’s with a heavy heart we announce that we will no longer be publishing new content on iMore and the iMore forums will be closing as of November 1st, 2024.
Couldn't agree with you more Sean. Part of the reason I decided to give the GS3 a test run was because of the constant iPhone bashing from Android users and all the claims of how Android can "do SO much more than iPhone." What a joke. While Android users are spending all of their time declaring...
After much debate with GS3 users, I decided to give it a test run. After all, with so many Android users passionately telling me the GS3 puts the iPhone to shame, I thought I should try it out. Had to be good, right?
Wrong. I returned the GS3 after a week and went back to my iPhone. I think the...
But seriously, why in the world did you not say anything beforehand? You seem adamant that it's a terrible product, yet you had 7 months to talk smack before. Why now? And what are you hoping to accomplish with these continual tirades on these boards?
A processor twice as fast isn't better? Oh ok. An improved front facing camera isn't better? Ok.
Maybe they aren't huge leaps of improvement, but the iPad 4 is "better" than the 3. It's an upgrade.
I gotta be honest, I completely understand why iPad 3 owners are upset. I'd be really upset if I bought an iPad 3 a few months ago only to know that now I could have something better for the SAME exact price. For me it wouldn't be at all about not having the "best" on the market at the moment...
Thanks for all the feedback guys. I really appreciate hearing it, especially from you guys who currently own iPad 3rd gen. It seems odd that yesterday morning the iPad 3rd gen was the best device out there, but now that there is something new it's considered completely unusable and not very good...
Thanks for the feedback Apple4Ever2011. I tend to agree and those are exactly the points I went with the iPad 3rd gen. The biggest selling piece to me was the retina display with the significantly lower price. It is blowing my mind how a device that was top of the market was making people...
Those were my exact thoughts, jalba3. I think I agree with you. Weighing what I will get with the 4 for the money, I don't really think it's worth it. I think the 3rd gen will keep me happy for a few good years, at least.
I just bought a Refurbished iPad with Wi-Fi 32GB - White (3rd generation) for $500, including taxes and shipping today. Is the 3rd gen iPad one I'll be happy with for several years to come? I'm not concerned with the fact that a new iPad just came out, I just want an iPad that will last for a...
I love the thinness of the iPhone 5, but I like the rounded back of the iPhone 3GS, so I would go back to the rounded design, but just as thin as the 5 is now. Just as light, too. More color options--I LOVE the white, but a nice blue, red or silver would look great as well. Oh, and gold too. 5"...
I got a replacement from Apple today and it does the same thing...same "rattle" issue when you tap the upper half of the phone near the camera. Disappointing, but what can you do? :(
Of course people always like to TRY to find something wrong with the iPhone. So, what do you guys think? I'd like to know the percentage of phones that actually have "problems." Please vote in the quick poll :)
Just FYI, talked to Apple and they told me to go to AT&T and they would exchange it with no problems. AT&T of course refused. Apple got back with me and they are shipping me a brand new phone and then I have to ship mine back to them. Hopefully this new one doesn't have a rattle and is free of...
Thanks for the input guys. I'm going to check out Apple Care and Squaretrade. Not sure which one I'll go with, but I think I want something for peace of mind.
Thanks so much Jeremy. Appreciate the help.
And yeah, I didn't shake my phone at all. I'm not looking for problems. I actually wish I never would have heard it. I can hear it during everyday use, which is why I started researching and discovered it appears to be a common "problem." When you pay...
I was about to say, if 9 out of 10 have the rattle then there's not much sense in sending off for another. Will they have another to replace mine? I bought it thru AT&T, so what's the best way about going to get a replacement? Going to the AT&T store? There is no Apple store in my area.
So, it's just something "normal" that one shouldn't worry about?
On a side note, I've been able to get my hands on 9 iPhones to test this out...from iPhone 4 to 4S to the new 5, and every single one does the same thing. I find it odd that I had my 4 for 2.5 years and never noticed it. However...
