After more than 15 years covering everything Apple, it’s with a heavy heart we announce that we will no longer be publishing new content on iMore and the iMore forums will be closing as of November 1st, 2024.
I've got a Watch SE running the latest OS, and a iPhone 12 also running the latest OS. I'm new to the Watch although I've been using an iPhone for a few years now.
All the tutorials & help show me ways to arrange my docked apps on the watch, and remove the ones I don't use. I've got the watch...
And the issue with "favorites" in Phone still randomly rearranging themselves and refusing to stay where you move them continues even after the update...
I prefer the wireless solely because when it's on the charger at night and I get a call, I can just grab it and answer without having to unplug a cord or trying to lift it off the charging stand plug. Otherwise, I agree that most of the time it's a solution in search of a problem.
Just upgraded from a 6 to an 8, and waited two days for Amazon to deliver my Magpul field case before I swapped out the SIM into the new phone. It's simply too slippery for me, plus it gets thrown in my coat pocket and I work outside a lot and don't care if people see it or not. Loving the...
I had a succession of BlackBerries - 9630, 9650, 9930, Q10, and finally accepted that things had changed and purchased a KEYone when it first was available on Amazon for Verizon. Over several months I played with it, and could NEVER get my calendars to 2-way sync, my contacts to show correctly...
So I'm sticking with my 6 for another year or so, but would really like the ability to charge wirelessly...just drop it on a pad on the desk, or on a stand on the headboard.
Amazon and other places have a bunch of decent Qi stands and pads, that won't be an issue finding a well reviewed one...
Verizon is definitely a ripoff - $33/month for 3 phones! Cancelled that (stuff) immediately. Everyone on my plan has cases & screen protectors on their phones, and we've got a shop nearby that's fantastic when it comes to replacing broken screens, ports, etc. Cheaper in the long run to pay as...
Coming from a BlackBerry Q10 (I tried the KEYone but Android just didn't work for me), I used to restart my phone every morning when I got up. My nephew upgraded recently and gave me his 6, which I absolutely love.
I haven't seen any commentary on here as to whether reboots/restarts are...
*IF* I were going to upgrade my 6 anytime soon, I'd go with the 8 simply for the wireless charging. But I'm perfectly satisfied with the 6 for now. Maybe in another year I'll see whats available.
