Iphone 7 battery life has been great for me. On days I had to use Waze, about an hour, I could still get 20% by late evening. I'm an average user who don't play much games.
Usually leave the watch with on the charger when I got home and shower. Pick it up before bed for sleep tracking. Will go back on charger evening of the following day. Battery is good.
The overall experience of the UI is great on the mini. So how, I find that some apps are not as smooth. Maybe those apps weren't updated for this new OS.

I connected iPhone SE to Bluetooth headset from plantronics and jabra, JBL wireless speaker. No problem.
Just the usual procedures. Put the speaker into pairing mode according to the manual, and iPhone found it easily.
The form factor eases the ache in my palm. Was using a bigger phone and after 6 months, I felt numbness on my right palm.
Now with SE and into its 2nd weeks, I'm pleased to share that the numbness is gone. And that feels great. Maybe it is the way my thumb interacts with the phone. One hand...

Go into setting - phone - calls on other devices. Then uncheck your wife's phone. I guess both of you are using the same iCloud account.

Battery life (iPhone 6) has been good for both iOS 8 and 9. But as mentioned, I get a more detailed view on what apps are using the battery, both on screen and background.

Upgraded my iPhone 6 and iPad mini 2 yesterday. Both are running great. It is probably the smoothest upgrade ever.
However, I restored my iPhone as new. It is a ritual for me to prepare for a big update. I need the iPhone as my daily communication tool.

Perhaps you can try the app 'Battery Doctor'. The one with the orange battery icon. There is a clear cache feature that really helped me with this issue. I'm using a 16GB iPhone 6. [emoji16]

Please do a restore. There are cache left behind after the update that maybe the culprit that is causing the problem.
Just do a backup on computer. Hit restore and have a cuppa
