I just saw this in an email from Tom's List:

New Apple Patent Points to Inevitable Foldable iPhone
Interesting, but I’d have to actually see it first. The last foldable phone I had was probably a Nextel, and before that, it was probably a Motorola StarTac.

For the record, I simply don't understand how this is considered a good thing. I wouldn't want one even if it was an iPhone.

For me the problem will be obviously the price. I really love new design experiments, and used to like a lot my old Motorolas. But now I can’t think in paying even for actual iPhones price, what to say about paying even more for foldable ones? Isn’t even a remote possibility.

Nope, not for me!! Didn’t like it when Samsung did it & I wouldn’t like it now. I don’t need to carry around a device that big, whether it folds or not. Nor, do I need to have a phone that’s capable of displaying several different apps on the screen, at the same time.

I loved my Casio gzone phones. Would go back to one right now if I didn’t have to have a smart phone for work.

Ooooooh sure: a foldable iPhone that folds into eighths down to the size of a postage stamp, with a little toggle and voilà: it doubles up as an earring or cuff link

You know what’s weird? We spent YEARS moving away from the flip phone but yet here we are, trying to pretend that this is anything but a flip phone but without the good parts. 🤷🏻*♀️

I think I would like a foldable iphone. Really like the form factor of those foldable phones. But it depends on its pricing. Wouldn’t pay a overprice for one
