Ah, no. States choose whether to legalize gay marriage or not. Being a traditional red state, people who don't like gay marriage keep getting voted in.
That's the will of the people..States have rights, if the people of Georgia voted it down that is the will of the people Long live liberty..

So you want government to tell people how to live their lives? All we can do is give the necessary tools and resources so people can live their lives and that includes birth control, plan B, morning after pill and abortions.
When did I say that... I said don't want my money used for abortions...Again people on welfare do not need to have children..

    Low Voter Turnout.

So he used the God defense on gay rights. I guess he's never read the Constitution to understand equal protection under the law, but he'll pop off about state rights I would guess.
If I'm not mistaken this Country was founded on "Christan" beliefs...Are you aware that the congress began its sessions with prayer, both houses of congress.. God was referred to in the constitutions of the colonies and later the thirteen states as: one God in South Carolina and Connecticut; Almighty in North Carolina, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Vermont; in Massachusetts, He was called, the Supreme Being, the Creator, Good and the Great Legislator of the Universe; He was called the Governor of the Universe in Pennsylvania and Vermont; and the inspirer of the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments in South Carolina and Pennsylvania. His Divine Providence was recognized in New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts. In Connecticut he was called Savior and Lord.

These references to God make clear that our founding fathers recognized and acknowledged God's nature and authority, as well as mankind's dependence upon the Lord. God gave man freewill and the function of government is to protect it....

Apparently the Democratic party is Godless..

Take due notice there of and Govern yourself accordingly...

All those references you made in your first paragraph describe some of the lunacy in which this country was founded on. It was those same people that had no problem killing "witches" in the name of "god." Would you do that today? Same loons who enslaved people and considered them 1/4 of a person. In the name of "god." I think I can answer that for you because I know you don't think that.

The freewill that the people that founded this country utilized was to cause a complete genocide of those that occupied the land at the time.

I'm not going to argue over what you believe in, don't believe in, or what I certainly don't believe in, but I just chuckle when people tell a story of how this place was founded.

My point here is that it's almost irrelevant hundreds of years later that the forefathers founded this country on christian beliefs. Time goes by and things change. Can you imagine the witch hunt today in 2014? lol We'd all be dead.

The way you lack simple comprehension skills while having a slow, drawn out discussion on a message forum...I tend to agree it's doubtful you'd get anything out of actual verbal debate.

Thank for again insulting me in another thread. I can only imagine how you have a discussion in real life, I imagine it involves a ton of yelling like Bill O'Reilly.

I don't yell...yelling is wasted energy. I also cannot stand political pundits personally because they are supposed to be scholars of their particular field, but they so rarely (if ever) debate as scholars, and more like shock jocks.

And you're very welcome. I've heard about you from some acquaintances in other communities within mobile nations...and it seems your tactics are very similar in places where you've already been shown the door. Your words define you...and I know it feels nice thinking you know a good bit about the world at 20 years of age, but you know...my words really aren't insults, they're just honest observations that are shared by a pretty large group of people in the community, but you play a decent game of trolling to remain just under the line without garnering too much attention (for now anyways).

Now you have the crossed the line, because my opinions aren't popular I am trolling? You can call me a troll all you want but I have never attempted to troll, I neither have the time or inclination to do so.

My opinions are my own and if you don't agree with them fine, but to day I go around trolling is flat out wrong and incorrect.

I said you like to play the game...which you do. You like to stir the pot, retort in ways that create unnecessary debate, and when the dust settles enough, you do it again. It's ok if that's your thing...

When you think about it, they should be picking on me since I am the admitted left wing democrat who likes Dennis Kucinich, Michael Moore, Bernie Sanders...etc...Then to top it off, I am in a labor union which is pure socialism to the right wing.

I don't pick on people for their political basis, especially if they are consistent and passionate about it...truthfully, I'm not very interested in politics because I'm rather cynical of the entire system, regardless of side.
