If he is making executive orders for other things, why isn't he doing it for this issue? All We'er saying is that he needs to do something about it, and that the boarder needs to be secured. And Rick Perry is one of the best governors in history, and would make an awesome president! And I'm sure that this whole crisis is a scheme by the democrats to spend more money. Because there's already law on the books regarding this issue. Maybe Congress can stay in session long enough and CHANGE the law if they don't like it, because, you know, the Legislature is the arm of government charged with writing laws, and not ironically, Imperial King Obama (like Republicans seem to think). You're not making any sense. You say you want the border secure, and yet when the president asks for money and such for "more" border enforcement and security you claim it's a scheme for democrats to spend more money. Which is it?

Do you think putting extra manpower (border guards/agents, immigration judges to speed up deportations, detention facilities, fences, etc) costs nothing?

And Rick "Oops" Perry being one of the best governors....OK, whatever. A great president...lay off the funny stuff, mate.

There's been laws in the books on other issues he's made executive orders on.
Republicans have tried and tried and tried to secure the boarder, and the democrats block it every time. And the republicans wanted to attach a bill to the $3.7B founding that would secure the boarder, and send these kids back where they belong, and it was rejected by the dems. So you are accusing the republicans of stopping the border from being secured, but it's the democrats that blocked it. And you keep blasting Rick Perry, but you need to go look at some economic figures! He took Texas to being the top job producers in the country. So in this case, Obama and his Justice Department have chosen to follow and enforce the law? How cavalier of him. It’s hard to tell what the laws are these days with him and Eric Holder setting so many of them aside as interfering with their socialist agenda.

I live in Az and frankly, What immigration law? We don't enforce ****! The Feds don't do their jobs enforcing the laws we have, so do you really think that they're going to enforce anything new?

I have large portions of Native American in me, or so I'm told. I have great grandparents on both sides that could have lived in reserves had they chosen to.

But beyond that, the non-Native ancestors in my family (and most others here, I would suspect) came here LEGALLY by following the laws and process in place at the time of their immigration. None of my relatives' parents shipped their kids to the border and dumped them in a foreign land to be taken in and cared for. Period. End of sentence.

I'm challenging your statement of "closed border closed mind". Whether you want to admit it or not, securing a country's border and securing one's home is in regard to the same thing: protecting what's inside. Period. Neither mean that others cannot come in, but they must have permission to do so. If you enter my home without permission, you have committed a crime. If you cross a country's border without permission, you have committed a crime. Having said that, if you foolishly assume that those who favor a closed border have closed minds then your mind is nailed shut for being a hypocrite for closing your own doors, possibly to the very people you would allow to enter our borders at will. For the record, "closed", in regard to our borders, doesn't mean closed off. It means "controlled".
