At the Monterey Bay aquarium this weekend. Jelly shots taken with ProCamera in standard photo mode with dual lens mode and jpg format. No post processing done.

ProCamera with the dual lens mode really seemed to help with stuff like the jellies which are in really dark areas and I figured the low lighting would cause tons of noise/watercolor/etc. You can see a little bit of the watercolor effect if you're looking at the original at 100% zoom but all things considered yeah I was impressed. My 12MP DSLR with an f1.8 lens and a tripod would probably have not been able to do much better actually except probably a sharper picture. In another exhibit I actually did a side by side test same photo with the main lens and again with the dual lens option in the app and there was a huge difference in noise/grain. The only downside is you can't do a RAW format for that since it's a hybrid from two different sensors.

Do you recommend the dual lens for shots with HEIC or JPEG?

I hate the watercolour effect in all my shots
