A few I have been taking trying to battle zoom and lighting. I find max zoom just to distorting no matter how close you can get.

    Various zooms were used.

Low-light pic. Especially challenging with the bright screens in the background. But the 7 Plus pulled it off nicely.

Odd, but for some reason all my low-light tests seem to be in taverns...

Portrait mode work wonders in good lighting conditions.

I think this is an important note. It uses the second zoomed in lens when you switch to portrait to take the actual picture, which does not have OIS. In low light, it REALLY struggles. Also make sure you can have ample space between you and the subject.

Does anyone print their images? I'm interested in the quality of the images when printed. For example, if one wanted to use their iPhone for family pictures at the park or something...how would they turn out once printed?

As long as you are able to upload at full res they come out pretty nice. Costco, if you have one near by, lets you and I have had no problems with the quality ever.

I'm wondering this too. My bro and SIL are a bit strapped for cash and they love the pics I take of their son (my darling nephew). If the iPhone 7+ can take great shots that can be printed I want to offer to do some photo shoots so they don't have to pay for photographers.

A lot will depend on the size of the prints and where you get them printed. There is no place around here that does true photo prints any more, I order them online, Walmart, cvs and Walgreens all use a computer printer and imo the one they use sucks. Your photos should be prepared at 300 ppi for print, you can get away with 240, but I always use 300. Make sure you look at the photos on a computer first usually around 25-50% to get an idea how they will look in print. It can be difficult to see some slight motion blur on your phone but it will jump right out at you on the computer monitor or on print.

You can probably get away with an 11x14 or smaller. You can go larger and the further away people will be from the print.

I have printed a couple of images from my phone and would not hesitate to do so again (because the best camera there is is the one you have with you), but if I am somewhere I now I will want a print or I can easily go back, I'll shoot with my DSLR. I do not believe an iPhone 7 or 7+ are a replacement for an actual photographer or proper photography equipment.

I have a co-worker who makes whole memory books of her photos on her iPhone every year at Sams Club and they look amazing. iPhone 7 photos will be just fine to print.

Here is my daughter in her costume yesterday. I took it in portrait mode.
Not as good as my Nikon D5500, but good enough to leave the Nikon at home on occasion.

Yup! It really struggles in low light! When I first got it, I tried portrait mode in low-light condition and the results were grainy and not so fantastic. It's a big difference when it's done in good lighting.

Portrait mode is definitely a struggle in low-light, I feel like after a month I'm finally starting to get a feel for what shots will turn out and which won't.
