I don’t use diesel so I was surprised when my cousin in Seattle said that diesel in Seattle was just a bit higher. Usually things cost much higher out there. Now, the $1.49 for plain old regular unleaded is pretty good!
I saw regular in Youngstown this past week for $1.339. And, pay attention to diesel prices. Usually the first indicator when the economy is going to tank. Back in 2008, three months before the economy went to crap, diesel prices went through the roof. Had to fill up for $4.359 a gallon, in a truck that had 300 gallon capacity. Told some friends to keep an eye on their grocery bill. Was told I was nuts. Then, they started complaining when milk prices went up.
