Restore iPad from backup

Purchased a new iPad Pro. I want to restore the iPad from another iPads backup using itunes. I know the password of the backup to restore from but, I keep getting a notice the iPad has disconnected.

Makes no sense because I see the little icon of the device on the itunes screen.

Anyone have any ideas on what is going in and how to fix this?

Can you try another connecting cable. Also are you using the latest version of iTunes?
