Why is Safari not working via VPN

Since updating to High Sierra, Safari will not connect to the internet when my VPN is connected. All other apps, including Chrome, are connecting as usual. Safari had no problems before the update.

It’s working fine on my end, and I’m almost always connected via VPN.

Problem resolved. Not an Apple issue. The old uninstall/reinstall resolved all.
