Sometimes I have to restart iTunes 5-6 times, sometimes I need to reboot computer to stop getting these errors (with either my iPad or my iPhone):

The iPhone Howards iPhone 6 could not be synced because the connection to the iPhone was reset.

The iPhone Howards iPhone 6 cannot be synced because there is not enough free space to hold all of the items in the iTunes library (additional 661.1 MB required).

(this number varies - 157.9 MB, 461.2 MB)

iTunes could not back up the iPad Howard Brazees iPad Pro because there is not enough free space on this computer to save the backup.

Disk Utility shows my Mac has 643.09 GB used, 3.69 GB Purgeable, 475.03 GB Free.
My iPhones settings/General/Storage & iCloud Usage shows 121.52 GB used, zero KB available, although iTunes shows 32.15 GB Free.
My iPads settings/General/Storage & iCloud Usage shows 236.98 GB used, 11.69 GB available, although iTunes shows 13.25 GB Free.
I keep my Mac and IOS devices operating systems current.
