It is my understanding that all is need are the following:

• The devices must be running macOS Sierra or iOS 10
• You must be signed in to the devices with the same Apple ID

Yep I think it is a glitch - works okay between IOS devices but not between iPhone and Mac. Thanks though

I had the same problem initially. You may notice that Hand-off is also not working. You will need to log out of iCloud in your macbook's system preferences and log back in. That fixed it for me.

you need to turn on bluetooth on both mac and your iphone

I got it to work once but it's not reliable.

Turning Off-On BT doesn't work.

I haven't tried Logging out of iCloud on my Mac, and never will... Because this functionality isn't important enough to put myself through that kind of hoop-jumping.

Hand-Off still works between my iMac and my iPhone, in both directions.

The system makes you authenticate iCloud 2-3 times during installation of the OS Update. Shouldn't have to completely remove your Mac from iCloud and then set it all up again.

I'll stick to sharing to Notes and then grabbing off of that on my Mac. It has, and will continue to, serve me well.
