My iCloud Photo Library upload from my mac has been stalled for about 24 hours. I upgraded to the 10.10.3 beta and imported my library into the new Photos.app and then turned on iCloud Photo Library (beta). All seemed well at first but after uploading about 100 photos it just stopped. And it hasn't uploaded any new photos in the last 24 hours. I've tried pausing and unpausing and restarting the computer.

My library has about 5900 photos and is 20gb.

Anyone else getting this or know how to troubleshoot?

If you exceed your iCloud storage limit, photos and videos won't upload to iCloud, and your library will no longer stay up to date across your devices. To continue using iCloud Photo Library, upgrade your storage plan or reduce the amount of storage that you're using.

I upgraded yesterday to 200GB and confirmed in system settings that the upgrade to 200GB is in place.

Okay, but you failed to mentioned that tidbit in your initial post. Anyway, you may want to contact Apple about this situation. In the meantime, try rebooting your device and see if the process starts where it left off.

I still can't get my photos to upload to iCloud Photo Library from my mac. On a whim, I decided to stop and restart the upload process and I received this error message:

Referenced files will not upload to iCloud Photo Library
Select referenced files in your library and choose “Consolidate” from the File menu to copy the original files into the library.

So I gather I'm supposed to select a few files and consolidate them, but I have no idea what the "referenced" files are. Might anyone know?

Referenced files are stored at their original locations and not in Photos library (for example on external disk). I think its better way if you have large number of photos.
So I would like to continue using referenced files and not to consolidate them into library because my library file will grow to 300-500gb size (including videos).
And I still want them uploaded to iCloud...

Anyone have some answers for this issue?

I have identical issue including referenced files error. Have a call with Apple in the morning. Will post if solution found.

I've been having the same problem with files stalled. It worked when I created a new library, but as of April 4th, it stopped uploading from my iPhone (and iOS 8.3 did not fix it).

I have removed all referenced files from my original library, so I'm not sure that's the problem.

I have 200 GB and my library is over 20,000 photos and videos. I will have to try adding photos to my Photos Library on my Mac, and see if those get uploaded. Before the release of 10.10.3 final, I was just using Aperture and iPhotos to connect to iCloud Photo Library, and it was working fine.
