Photos seems to work fine. Faces needs work. Hope they add import folders as albums. Haven't had any crashes on rMBP yet

I thought there was going to be an import process for Aperture. When I choose File > Import, I get a browser and it won't recognize the Aperture library file. Am I doing something wrong?

There's not an import like that. You can open the Aperture Library and it will migrate it to the Photos app. When you open the Photos app I think you can hold down shift and it'll ask you which Library you want to open and you can pick your Aperture Library

Installing the dev beta now. So far, it's been pretty solid. Release has to be close.

An observation... Photos app tweaked... now there's a little "map" with a pin on pics that are geotagged...

Has anyone tried to use Photos with an external hard drive? It says in the info on Appleseed that it'll work with it however it crashes every time I tried to create a library on my external drive.

I had no issues with the last 3 beta builds. That lack of issue carried over to the official release. It's pretty freaking solid.
