Keyboard are non-responsive on a Macbook using OS X Maverick

Has anyone run into a built-in keyboard on a Macbook or Macbook Pro laptop being non-responsive? They became un-responsive all of a sudden, no updates where done before the keyboard stopped being responsive. Wanted to see if anyone ran into this problem, and if they resolved the issue...how it was resolved. Thanks.

I read somewhere that you can disable the keyboard by hitting option 5 times. To fix it you have to hit it 5 more times.

You try that?
