Broken alias with documents

I moved a document to the trash and emptied the trash. I didn't even realize there was an alias created for the document but now I cannot remove the alias, cannot fix the alias and for that matter do anything with it. Anyone know how to get rid of this alias?

You should be able to drag the alias file to the trash bin and then empty it. If that doesn't work, try rebooting your Mac and trying again.

If you run Time Machine you could also just restore the file/folder and then get rid of the alias and then the file/folder.
