OS 10.11 - No News App?

I love the News app on iOS 9 because of how it gathers stories on subjects I'm interested in. Kind of surprised it is not on El Capitan. Any ideas if this is in the works? It would be great if I was reading a story on my iPhone and could handoff to my mac and vice versa.

I know it's not an official Mac app but feedly works very well for me.
